Context

Education is the key to equal opportunities and innovation.

The German Education Server, a joint initiative of the federal and state governments, has been the central platform for educational information in Germany for 30 years. As a meta server, it links to a wide range of free, high-quality, up-to-date, and editorially reviewed web content. It is a valuable guide and important point of contact for anyone looking for information about the German education system.

A modern education server helps teachers, learners, and institutions navigate the wealth of information available. But the digital world of education is changing rapidly: new technologies, changing communication habits, and rising expectations for user-friendliness require ideas for continuous development.

Offering the Bildungsserver: NEXT innovation competition, we invite you to create a platform that provides guidance and makes educational information accessible to everyone. The competition is organized by the German Education Server at DIPF | Leibniz Institute for Research and Information in Education, which is marking its 75th anniversary this year. All interested parties — especially students — are invited to contribute their ideas for communication, navigation and content. There are attractive prizes to be won in each category. The winners will be presented at a festive award ceremony on September 15, to mark the 30th anniversary of the German Education Server.

What we are not looking for

The German Education Server is a service provided by the federal and state governments, and the office is located at the DIPF | Leibniz Institute for Research and Information in Education. As a public foundation, DIPF does not endorse any commercial or advertising-related ideas. Moreover, regulations and laws on data protection and the protection of user data and users must also be observed.

We do not need recommendations for a completely new content management system. Suggestions for using X or Facebook are also not welcome, as we do not use these services (any more).
