Data protection in the HYVE Crowd

This Privacy Notice informs you how we treat personal data that you have consented to the processing of by using the HYVE Crowd registration link and by verifying your registration via a Double OptIn.

Data collection and dedicated connection

For the implementation of Innovation Communities, we only use data that originates directly and personally from you. This includes information from participation in previous Innovation Communities as well as any other information that you provide to us by entering in your profile.

Your data will be used exclusively for the purpose of initiating and implementing Innovation Communities.

Which personal data we store

We store and process the following personal data of yours for identification purposes: Salutation, title, first name, surname, e-mail address, nationality and the type of communities you have participated in.


Depending on the data you enter in forms, we store and process the data:

  • Age, interests, profession, position
  • Address data: street, house number, postcode, city,
  • Contact details: E-mail address, telephone number, mobile phone number

What do we use your data for?

Your data will be processed in order to propose to you the participation in Innovation Communities corresponding to your profile. For this purpose, we usually contact you via e-mail and in exceptional cases by telephone.

We also process your data to maintain our relationship with you and to send you information about upcoming or future projects by e-mail.

Once you have confirmed your participation in an innovation community, we process your data for the execution of the project.


When you visit our website, information can be stored on your computer in the form of “cookies.” Such cookies are used solely to ensure operation of the websites. Other cookies (e.g. relating to website use) are only created based on your consent. You can also choose not to accept cookies in your browser settings. Please note, however, that you may not be able to fully use several functions of this website if you do so.

Web analysis services Mouseflow

This website uses Mouseflow, a web analytics tool from Mouseflow ApS, Flaesketorvet 68,1711 Copenhagen, Denmark, to record randomly selected individual visits (only with anonymous IP address). The result is a protocol of mouse movements, mouse clicks and keyboard interaction, with the intention of rendering individual visits to this website as so-called session displays on a random basis and evaluating them in the form of so-called heatmaps to derive potential improvements for this website. The data collected by Mouseflow is not personal and will not be passed on to third parties. The data collected is stored and processed within the EU. Usage of Google Analytics

This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google, Inc. (“Google”). Google Analytics uses “cookies”, which are text files placed on your computer, to help the website analyze how users use the site.

The information generated by the cookie about your use of the website will be transmitted to and stored by Google on servers in the United States. In case IP-anonymisation is activated on this website, your IP address will be truncated within the area of Member States of the European Union or other parties to the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases the whole IP address will be first transfered to a Google server in the USA and truncated there. The IP-anonymisation is active on this website. Google will use this information on behalf of the operator of this website for the purpose of evaluating your use of the website, compiling reports on website activity for website operators and providing them other services relating to website activity and internet usage.

Disclosure of data

Your data will not be passed on to third parties and will be stored and processed exclusively in the European Union.

Storage duration

If we do not receive confirmation (agreement to further processing) for the further use of data stored by us as a result of your participation in previous Innovation Contests via the registration link, your data will be permanently deleted or blocked after a period of four weeks from the request for registration addressed to you.

If you withdraw your consent and use the "Delete my profile" button in the HYVE Crowd Portal, your data will be deleted or blocked immediately.

Blocking (restriction of processing) is always carried out if legal retention periods prevent deletion

Information about your rights

According to Chapter III DSGVO - Rights of the data subject, you may at any time upon request and free of charge exercise your rights to

    • Correction of your personal data, should we have stored them incorrectly

    • Your data, if they may no longer be stored

Right to revoke consent

If the processing is based on a consent, you have the right to revoke this consent at any time without affecting the legality of the processing carried out on the basis of the consent until revocation.

We have taken extensive technical and organizational precautions to protect your personal data stored by us from unauthorized access and misuse. Our security procedures are regularly checked and adapted to the state of the art. Our employees are obliged to maintain confidentiality.
